About The Position

The Emergency Services Dispatcher at South Metro Fire Rescue is responsible for managing emergency calls and dispatching resources effectively. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of public safety dispatching or 911 call center experience.
• Experience in military communications or other public safety roles is preferred.
• Ability to pass a CritiCall test and a panel interview.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of related dispatching experience is preferred.
• Experience in fire suppression or emergency medical services.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming emergency calls and dispatch appropriate resources.
• Function in various roles including call taking, radio operations, and system status management.
• Participate in a rotation of dispatching duties to ensure coverage and efficiency.
• Assist in training new dispatchers and support team operations.
