About The Position
Do you feel the need to stay up all night and always know what's going on? We have the job for you. Barton County is looking for high-level multi-taskers open to working with citizens in emergency situations and with first responders......from a safe distance. Our well-trained 911 Dispatchers receive and dispatch messages to emergency service professionals. It's shift work and includes weekends and holidays. You'll need to pass a security background. Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply. Starting pay $18.00 per hour. With mandatory 250 hours of overtime, that's an annual salary of at least $45,000! Expect a pay increase at the end of a successful provisional period. Barton County also offers paid leave time to include health, dental and vision insurance, KPERS retirement and more. All County positions require a minimum of a High School diploma or GED with the ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical assessment.
