Requirements

  • 3 - 8 years of experience with dispatch in a consulting environment for materials
  • High school diploma required, college course work preferred
  • Have a strong understanding of the different types of inspector certifications required for inspections, including: ICC Commercial Building ICC Fireproofing ICC Masonry ICC Prestressed Concrete ICC Reinforced Concrete ICC Soils ICC Structural Steel Bolting (S1) ICC Structural Steel and Welding (S2) AWS/CWI Welding
  • A/R reconciliation experience preferred
  • Prior experience with inspections preferred
  • Intermediate skill level in Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone and emails for inspection requests
  • Assist callers, including in-house project managers/engineers with inspection requests
  • Generate work orders and dispatch inspectors to the appropriate project site according to the client and project inspection needs
  • Fill out dispatch request forms using in-house and/or MetaField Field Information Management System (FIMS)
  • Provide accurate and complete project information to field inspectors including the correct forms and reports to use
  • Maintain an accurate and complete dispatch log of inspection and update daily
  • Schedule all pick-ups and drop-offs for projects and intra-office transfers
  • Maintain an accurate and complete pick-up and drop-off report/list, and update daily
  • Maintain an accurate and complete file of all inspector certifications and resumes
  • Maintain an accurate file of all sub-contractors and all related contract documents
  • Review sub-contractor's invoices for completeness and accuracy
  • Assist in project related tasks such as making corrections to the inspection reports, materials test reports, tracking down projects, communications with accounting (accounts receivable and billing), and project manager/engineer
  • Order office and field supplies
  • Attend required meetings
  • Follow company policies and procedures, and all safety procedures
