Dispatcher

As a Dispatcher at Ambulnz by DocGo, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the work and activities of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching calls using a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. You will be expected to conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when interacting with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public. Providing top-tier customer service to medical facilities, the public, and our EMTs is essential to this role. In addition to dispatching ambulances to scheduled runs, you will gather and verify billing information, including full patient demographics, insurance information, eligibility, and authorization required by insurance. You will also need to maintain a professional demeanor in the office and while on the phone with customers. The role requires you to intake a large call volume, triage to determine the appropriate level of care, and coordinate transport accordingly. A solid understanding of medical terminology and conditions is necessary, along with excellent verbal communication skills to effectively relay information and instructions.
