About The Position

The Town of Lexington is seeking a full-time Public Safety Dispatcher for the Police Department. This role involves working in a 24-hour combined Police/Fire dispatch center, where the dispatcher will handle emergency calls, dispatch personnel, and provide timely information to field units. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with the public.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with the public effectively.
  • Prior experience working with emergency services and radio, telephone, and computer networks is preferred.
  • Mass State 911 Certifications are preferred.
