Requirements

• Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred.
• Familiarity with fleet management practices and transportation planning is advantageous.
• Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail is essential.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures will be considered a plus.
• Experience using GIS tools or software relevant to dispatching is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective coordination with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Manage fleet operations, including monitoring vehicle performance and maintenance schedules.
• Utilize dispatching software to optimize routes and improve efficiency.
• Input and maintain accurate data related to shipments, deliveries, and inventory in SyteLine or similar systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and any changes in plans.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette while handling inquiries from clients and addressing any logistical issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to enhance transportation planning strategies.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes as needed to support overall operations.
