PTG Logistics is an asset-based carrier that has been in business for over 25 years, with operations across the United States. We service a diverse range of industries, from steel and building supplies to bread and ice cream, and pride ourselves on having great drivers and top-notch equipment. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are seeking an experienced Dispatcher/Truck Check-in for our Riverside, MO location. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, customers, and employees. You will oversee the delivery operations at the location, managing owner-operators and ensuring efficient loading, delivery, dispatch, and client/customer relations. As a Dispatcher, your responsibilities will include overseeing the accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles for the delivery of retail home products, as well as monitoring the unloading process to ensure accuracy of all merchandise received, staged, and warehoused. You will be tasked with monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure a healthy and efficient operation, as well as reviewing weekly reports to meet financial objectives. Additionally, you will conduct evaluations of contractors to assess skill levels and identify development opportunities, ensuring that all claims are charged back to the appropriate driver. You will also play a crucial role in recruiting Independent Owner Operators and assisting in the recruitment of their teams. It is essential to ensure that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles is completed as scheduled. You will direct and assist the delivery department in accomplishing their deliveries, analyze scheduling and routing procedures, and ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements. Setting goals and tracking performance-related statistics will be part of your responsibilities, as well as recruiting and coaching the assistant manager and all staff. Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with human resources and client representatives is key to the success of this role.
