About The Position

MHS is hiring a full-time Dispatcher/Telecommunicator (CMT) to join our Central Monitoring team. This is a unique opportunity to use your dispatch, safety/security, and customer service skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth. As a CMT, you'll be at the heart of campus operations, handling 15 - 45 dispatch calls daily, monitoring 900 surveillance cameras, and coordinating emergency and non-emergency services across our expansive residential & school campus. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with security alarm systems and surveillance equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IBM platforms
• Experience handling service requests, complaints, and issues/problems
• Strong customer service and dispatching skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for the students
• Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• APCO Telecommunicator I, APCO Law Enforcement Dispatch, APCO Medical Dispatch training, preferred
• Experience with a Total Quality Management System a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and coordinate incoming calls and service requests
• Monitor fire, mechanical, and security alarms
• Dispatch Campus Safety Officers and Service Technicians
• Operate as the central hub for phone and 2-way radio communications
• Respond during school closures and emergencies
• Other duties as assigned.
