About the position
Nucor Towers & Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, focused on the execution of our strategy to 'Expand Beyond' our core business. The Dispatcher will be responsible for refining processes and procedures to support Transportation development as well as reporting and analysis. This position will require coordination of deliveries to meet customer requirements and will serve as the Crawfordsville business unit subject matter expert for the implementation of a new ERP. The role includes supporting the ongoing maximization of ERP functionality, taking on ad-hoc reporting and analysis projects, and serving as a strategic Transportation support for our business. The position will ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations as well as company guidelines regarding the dispatching and scheduling of transportation needs for inbound and outbound loads. Candidates must be well organized and able to work both independently and as a team, collaborating with other teammates and leaders to prioritize load builds, load forecasting, load tracking, section tracking, small parts tracking, and POD reconciliation. Strong communication skills are needed to lead and develop carrier relationships to execute the site plan. This position would report directly to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and may require travel to other production facilities on an as-needed basis.
