About The Position

Seeking to put God's love into action. Indian River Habitat for Humanity develops housing solutions guided by the needs of the family partners and the community. OVERVIEW: Represent the Habitat brand through courteous and professional interactions with potential donors and customers over the phone and in person to support our donation efforts, mission and Restore sales. This job will require time in the dispatch office as well as time working in other areas of the ReStore as assigned by the ReStore Manager or Assistant Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be professional in phone etiquette and a good representative of the Habitat brand.
  • Friendly, personable, accommodating demeanor
  • Must be customer and donor centered and able to resolve most issues.
  • Must be able to take messages, relay information to appropriate person, supervisor, or manager as needed with sense of urgency.
  • Must be available to work Saturdays
  • Knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, routing software, and internet website navigation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team Player able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and must be a legal resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls for ReStore and direct calls to appropriate person or respond to donor or customer needs during dispatch hours. Respond timely to voice mail and email messages from customers and donors.
  • Professionally resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely manner by conferring with the store manager or assistant manager.
  • Coordinate and manage the most efficient routes, using our software to remain cost-effective as a mission. Combining routes and pick-ups based on location to eliminate unnecessary driving time and labor.
  • Ensure timely and efficient movement of trucks to deliver fast and quality service.
  • Support managers in scheduling and coordinating Deconstruction (DeCon) projects and providing project information to development and finance for donor acknowledgements and tax reporting.
  • Maintain the customer Sales Tax Exemption Certificates along with updating the information in the customer database.
  • Maintain and upkeep the customer database at the ReStore.
  • Serve as a cashier as needed.
  • Additional duties assigned by the ReStore Manager or assistant manager.
