About The Position

Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC Regular Tunista is currently recruiting for a full-time (40 hours per week) Dispatcher/Computer Operator (DCO) at Columbus AFB, Columbus, Mississippi. This position may work up to 40 hours a week and some evenings and weekends. The DCO must demonstrate commercial or military/government experience in performing dispatch tasks equivalent to a Military Service journeyman level dispatcher. The DCO is responsible for dispatching and controlling aviation and ground fuel operations as requested by aircraft mission control and end users. The role includes issuing and inspecting radios for communications in fuels operations, staying familiar with instructions/regulations pertaining to fueling and defueling of DoD and civilian aircraft, and forms used to document aircraft fuel servicing. The DCO must comply with all technical and safety procedures related to fuel handling operations, accomplish applicable forms to accurately document fuel products received and dispensed, and close out paperwork (night shift). The DCO uses FMD to annotate fuels equipment in and out of service, notifies management if equipment in service drops below MEL, assists in training newly assigned personnel, and ensures compliance with environmental, occupational safety, and security programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years prior experience in a fuels aviation field.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time in the local outdoor environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret general and governmental instructions/regulations.
  • Valid Mississippi Driver’s License.
  • United States citizenship with the ability to possess and maintain a current and valid class B driver’s license for job locality, with HAZMAT and tanker endorsements.
  • Possess and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
