Responsible for receiving requests for ground medical transport, initiating the mobilization of the appropriate teams, communicating with referring hospitals/services, map reading, math skills and documentation. Perform data entry using the computer and typing any other documentation as assigned. Remain flexible for staffing patterns, maintain a sense of pride and ownership for the program, perform data entry at the time of call, work with people in phone conversations involving pediatric to geriatric ages of patients.
Requirements
- Must fulfill yearly continuing education requirements of the department.
- Must complete orientation for various procedures and other in-service as required.
- International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) - Certified Dispatcher required within six months from date of hire.
