About The Position

The Dispatch Supervisor at Fresh Exchange, LLC is responsible for overseeing the logistics of produce dispatch within a cold storage warehouse. This role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate shipments, coordinating with various stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards in cold chain logistics.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is advantageous.
• Proven experience in dispatch, logistics, or a similar role within a warehouse environment, ideally dealing with perishable goods.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) such as iSolve, Famous or similar and basic computer software as Microsoft Office, Outlook and all basic business software.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of cold chain logistics and food safety principles.
• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Experience with PRIMUS.
• Bilingual capabilities, particularly in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan the dispatch of produce based on orders, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
• Organize delivery trucks and schedule pickups in alignment with production and customer demands.
• Act as the primary point of contact between warehouse operations, transportation providers, salesmen, and customers, providing clear updates on shipment statuses.
• Prepare, verify, and update all dispatch documentation including load sheets, delivery schedules, and manifests.
• Address and resolve dispatch issues.
• Work closely with inventory teams to ensure stock availability for dispatch.
• Ensure all shipments comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for cold chain logistics.
