The Supervisor, Dispatch, provides leadership and support to the dispatch center as well as supports operational needs as communicated by the Director of Operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
• Must maintain Connecticut EMT license, current CPR card, EMD certification, valid Driver's License, and driving record in compliance with Company policy regarding insurability.
• Holds and maintains motor vehicle operator's license in the state of legal residence.
• Free of any criminal history
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively represent the Company when communicating to clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Demonstrates mature and confident mannerisms necessary for reassuring patients and clients.
• Knowledge of primary streets/routes in the service area, some familiarity with medical facilities.

• Previous healthcare work and supervision are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch Operations
• Supervise daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient dispatching of EMS resources.
• Scheduling
• Create and maintain staff schedules for dispatchers and EMTs/Paramedics to ensure adequate coverage.
