The most important skill we are seeking that would also help the selected hire be successful in this role is strong customer service skills. This role will be communicating with truckers, the customer service department, and other teams within the Operations department. This role is on the Dispatch team as a part of the Operations department. This role is a part of the Dispatch team, which is a part of the Operations department. Within our organization, the Operations department works directly with terminals, rails, depots, motor carriers and suppliers in the region daily. Specifically, Operations ensures all equipment is in good order and moving timely. This is accomplished using internal systems for planning and monitoring equipment flows, managing empties to booking ratios, ensuring empty availability for vessel repositioning, while making sure no equipment is idling in the region.
