About The Position

The Dispatch team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient daily delivery operations. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform well under pressure, and exceptional organizational abilities while coordinating with drivers, customers, and routing managers. The Dispatch/Routing team member will report directly to the Vice President of Transportation and must be Spanish‑bilingual to support effective communication across the department.

Requirements

Strong computer proficiency with Windows-based programs.
Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask without becoming overwhelmed.
Ability to read maps and understand routing concepts; WISE experience is a plus.
Professional demeanor with a motivated, energetic attitude.
Ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact.
Basic math skills.
Must be able to work long and flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Utilize Windows-based computer systems and dispatch software to manage daily routing tasks.
Make outbound and inbound calls to customers regarding delivery updates, issues, and special requests.
Communicate with drivers to resolve delivery concerns, routing challenges, and schedule adjustments.
Collaborate closely with routing managers and drivers to support operational needs.
Maintain and organize a high volume of paperwork and delivery documentation.
Apply problem-solving skills to address delivery complications and customer concerns.
