About The Position

Carroll Concrete is a proud family owned and operated company for over 50 years, focused on leading the industry with integrity. We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our growing team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for monitoring mixer and pump truck status, scheduling trucks and jobs, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe and fulfilling work environment. This role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and a strong focus on customer service.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of dispatching experience is REQUIRED.
• 5 years of customer service experience.
• Ready-mix batching experience and experience operating a mixer truck is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, team-oriented, with common sense and good judgement.
• Excellent reading, writing, and math skills (including map reading).
• Exceptional phone skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree or High School Diploma and Equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mixer and pump truck status on a constant basis to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum equipment and labor utilization.
• Work closely with Plant Managers, Mixer Drivers, Pump Operators, Area Managers, and Dispatch Manager to schedule trucks and jobs based upon hours of service per DOT laws.
• Answer multi-line phone system and interact with customers to field complaints, quote prices, process orders, and provide information about our products and services.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail while entering customer order information into the computer.
• Schedule orders to ensure timely deliveries.
• Complete all paperwork in its entirety and forward as applicable.
• Assist other team members as necessary.
• Notify manager of any work-related injuries or accidents immediately.
• Perform multiple tasks under stressful situations over long periods of time while maintaining proper composure.
