At the heart of our success is a team of great people-dedicated professionals who bring passion, expertise, and a customer-centric approach to every interaction DISPATCH MANAGER DAILY DUTIES RECEIVE SALES ORDERS FROM OUTSIDE AND INSIDE SALES STAFF REVIEW CUSTOMER INFORMATION CUSTOMER NAME, DELIVERY ADDRESS, CONTACT AT DELIVERY SITE, CONTACT'S PHONE NUMBER (NOT THE OFFICE) C USTOMER'S BUSINESS STATUS – CREDIT, C.O.D., ON HOLD, ETC. CHECK INVENTORY TO DETERMINE WHAT CAN BE DELIVERED CALL WAREHOUSE PERSONNEL TO CHECK INVENTORY IF THE PRODUCT IS NOT AVAILABLE – NOTIFY SALESPERSON AND INVENTORY SPECIALIST CALL CUSTOMER CONTACT TO DISCUSS JOBSITE CONDITIONS AND SAFETY PROCEEDURES IF THE JOBSITE IS NEW TO KAMCO EAST HARTFORD, DISPATCH MANAGER WILL GO TO THE JOBSITE TO MEET CUSTOMER AND / OR GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO DISCUSS SAFETY PROCEDURES AND PLAN THE JOB SCHEDULE DELIVERY

Requirements

Reliable transportation is required
Position is Monday - Friday, some 40+ hour weeks, with shift start time between 5:30am - 6:00am

Nice To Haves

Experience in building materials and knowledge of Boom Trucks, Moffet Trucks, and Box Trucks preferred

Responsibilities

Hiring, training and supervising truck drivers and laborers.
Monitoring performance and taking action to help train and inform staff in any short comings.
Following disipilinary measures as needed.
Working with Kamco's customer base as well as fielding complaints.
Ensuring all employees and trucks are under compliance with D.O.T and OSHA.
U pkeep of all delivery vehicles (BOOM, MOFFET, FLATBED, VAN, PICK UP) to federal and state standards
Continued monitoring of staff's state and federal liscencing responsibilities (DOT Mandated Tests, UPDATED PHYSICALS, CONTINUED TRAINING)
Ensuring communication between customers, drivers, sales people and management is effective and efficient
Analyzing delivery trends (time it takes to make a delivery, customers who are not on site to receive delivery, delivery routes)
Checking every truck before it leaves the East Hartford branch for all items being delivered, weight of the load, truck pre and post delivery check.
