About The Position

DispatchHealth is seeking Medical Technicians to join our clinical team in the Salt Lake City area. This full-time role involves working directly with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in a mobile laboratory setting, providing patient care and gaining valuable experience in mobile healthcare. The position requires current EMT certification and offers extensive on-the-job training.

Requirements

• Current EMT-B, EMT-A, or Certified Medical Assistant certification
• Basic Certification with UTAH, EMT License (hiring credential only)
• Bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science with a minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology (preferred)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Experience using an i-STAT device

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of licensed NP/PA providers
• Conduct patient assessment and monitoring, including vital signs
• Perform IV starts and blood draws as permitted by state law
• Apply splints and provide wound care
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain point of care laboratory equipment
• Perform EKGs and assist NP/PAs in daily functions of a mobile care delivery unit
• Document patient care and maintain supply and stocking levels
