About The Position

About the Role & Program The Walt Disney Company’s Corporate Legal Department at Disneyland Resort seeks an intern to support its legal team. The team handles legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for the Resort's two theme parks and three hotels. This role offers hands-on exposure to a dynamic legal environment and the opportunity to collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, directors, and other professionals across the Disneyland Resort Legal team. The Legal Intern will also work closely with the Disneyland Resort Risk Management and Environmental Affairs team. By working closely with all three teams, the intern will gain valuable insight into how legal, risk, and environmental and regulatory considerations intersect within a large and complex organization. This is a full-time internship, from June through August 2026. If selected for this role, you will report to a Lead Counsel at the Disneyland Resort. What You Will Do This internship offers a fast-paced, hands-on experience across legal and operational areas of the Disneyland Resort. Responsibilities include drafting agreements, collaborating with claims and risk teams, learning about regulatory compliance, attending meetings, and shadowing staff. The role provides valuable insight into hospitality and entertainment operations, and opportunities to connect with LGA interns across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated organizational abilities with proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in managing confidential information
  • Adept at working independently while recognizing appropriate opportunities to seek guidance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited law school and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Completion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship
  • Be enrolled in an accredited law school pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026
  • Able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, California area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or work experience at a law firm, enabling them to start quickly and contribute effectively.
  • Contracting and drafting experience, which supports legal tasks and documentation.
  • Demonstrated interest in in entertainment law, copyright, Intellectual property (IP), regulatory or administrative law, or contract drafting courses (relevant course work is a plus).
