Facility Asset Management provides construction project management services and long-term facility planning for the Disneyland Resort. Our focus is to maintain the parks, attractions, hotels, roads, retail shops, and restaurants while preserving the overall show quality of the Disneyland Resort. Field Superintendents are the on-site leaders who bring Disney’s construction plans to life with precision, safety, and show-quality excellence. Working directly in the field across the Disneyland Resort, they guide day-to-day construction activities, coordinate contractors and crews, and ensure work is executed in alignment with Disney’s high standards. As a Construction Field Superintendent Intern , you will support the on-the-ground execution of construction activity across the Resort. Playing a vital role in assisting our construction management team with various tasks and projects. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in the construction industry, allowing you to develop practical skills and gain insights into the various aspects of construction management and execution. The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 to December 2026. This is a full-time position, and interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship. This Internship is in Anaheim, CA.

Requirements

  • Prior related work experience, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on construction.
  • Strong interest in the construction industry and a desire to learn and develop practical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of construction principles, techniques, and terminology.
  • Proficiency in using construction software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or similar major.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Note: Please, no rounding) as shown on a current transcript.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines (for DX)
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available Monday thru Friday, PST for the duration of the internship,40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, CA area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Responsibilities

  • Field Support: Assist site superintendents in coordinating and implementing construction activities. This may involve tasks such as site inspections/walks, documentation, scheduling, progress tracking, conducting site meetings, and assisting with project planning.
  • Site Activities: Participate in on-site activities and logistics, including material deliveries, project laydown space, equipment setup, safety inspections, and coordination with contractors and vendors. Ensure that any ongoing and onstage construction activities are “show-ready” before guests enter the Parks and Resorts.
  • Documentation: Prepare ‘Daily Reports’ to upload onto Disney software. This will include providing contractor man-counts, scope of work, and approximate times/durations. This may also include making and upholding safety observations.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all work is conducted in compliance with approved resort safety guidelines and OSHA regulations. Report any potential safety hazards or concerns promptly; may also include generating a report and uploading it to Disney software
  • Quality Control: Assist in quality control inspections to ensure that construction work meets the required Disney standards, drawings, and specifications/submittals.
  • Communication: Collaborate with team members, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the construction process.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address construction-related challenges and problems, proposing creative solutions to ensure project progress and completion.
  • Learning and Development: Actively engage in learning opportunities, attending training sessions, workshops, and meetings to expand your knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
