About The Position

About the Role & Program: Platform Distribution negotiates the business, economic, technology, product, data, and advertising terms that drive distribution of The Walt Disney Company’s content across a wide range of partners. This includes global direct-to-consumer services (Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu), linear TV channels (ABC, Disney Junior, ESPN, Freeform, National Geographic, etc.), theatrical films, Free Ad-Supported Streaming (FAST) channels, other ad-supported video offerings, ABC News, and audio streaming content. The individual must possess organizational, communication and analytical skills, an interest in the media & entertainment business as well as an initiative-taking mindset. Above all, they must think big, learn quickly, and approach every challenge with enthusiasm.

Requirements

  • A desire to learn the intricacies of the entertainment business, including components of advertising, technology, finance, and law.
  • A general understanding of the media landscape, including competitors and industry trends.
  • Strong organization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft product suite (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or other related major preferred
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Availability for the duration of the internship in New York City: June – August 2026
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available from Monday – Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week (if applicable)
  • Able to provide own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the various stages of the distribution lifecycle, including partner engagement, deal execution, audience growth strategies, performance reporting, and development of sales and partnership presentations.
  • Assist with business updates based on account activity and the needs of the team.
  • Help create, maintain, and refresh team documents and trackers.
  • Assist in projects related to team objectives
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) in partnership support.
  • Account negotiation and executive material prep
