About The Position

The Dishwasher at King's Fish House plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the restaurant's operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all dishes, glasses, silverware, and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for use, supporting the overall flow of the business. The role includes training in safety and sanitation standards, contributing to a team service environment, and performing various opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Food Handlers Card required.
• Ability to communicate verbally in English with management and co-workers.
• Ability to maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Ability to train others on process, prep, and culture.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Wash all soiled china, glass, and flatware using proper cleaning procedures and equipment.
• Assist with stocking of incoming supplies and perishable items under the direction of the Chef or Sous Chef, time permitting.
• Participate in cleaning the kitchen, including the entire back of the house.
• Load and unload china, glass, and flatware from the dishwasher to their appropriate storage area.
• Maintain a clean, dry, and safe dishwashing area and kitchen.
• Follow manager's instructions and report to the supervisor before leaving duty.
• Follow the maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
• Alert management of any safety hazards immediately.
• Notify management of any information pertinent to shift activities.
