About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning all dishes, silverware, glassware, utensils, and pots/pans, as well as providing support to other areas of the BOH. This position requires a strong sense of urgency, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently. The Dishwasher represents Miller's Ale House by exhibiting professionalism, attention to detail, and a desire to foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Support other Back of House functions as needed, ensuring that all areas of the restaurant run smoothly is a shared responsibility among the Team.
  • Communicate positively with other Team Members and Management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide exceptional service and maintain a positive attitude throughout the entire shift.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the age of hire unless otherwise required by state law.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time, in full uniform, and ready to work.
  • Work directly with Team Members to ensure all needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Maintain proper food handling procedures and ensure sanitation of work areas, complying with food handling requirements.
  • Work closely with Team Members to ensure safety and sanitation protocols are followed according to company standards.
  • Collect bus tubs and dirty dishes from both FOH and BOH areas.
  • Ensure a steady supply of clean dishes, glassware, and utensils for cooks, servers, and bartenders.
  • Re-stock areas for easy access by other staff members.
  • Provide support to cooks as needed, including occasional station assignments.
  • Communicate with fellow Team Members and Management to stay informed and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, including sweeping and mopping when necessary.
  • Assist with overall kitchen cleanliness, including taking out trash.
  • Complete running and end-of-shift side work, ensuring work areas are stocked and ready for the next Dishwasher.
  • Notify Management immediately of any potential problems or issues.
