The utility dishwasher adheres to hotel specifications and standards in operating the dishwashing machine to wash designated restaurant and kitchenware, clean and maintain equipment and dishwashing/kitchen/compactor and storage areas. Assist in washing pots, pans and other kitchen utensils/equipment. Complete other projects as assigned. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Physical responsibilities include carrying a large oval tray with 6 covered dinners, approximately 20 pounds. Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Work environment - restaurant, and all areas of the hotel. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.
