About The Position

This position provides support to both our Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations by maintaining a consistent level of clean dishes, glassware, cookware, and utensils in addition to supporting an industry leading clean environment. This position will spend 100% of the time standing while regularly working around steam and in warm conditions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have valid WA State Food Handlers Permit.
  • Possess the ability to be trained on, learn, and follow standard procedures.
  • Possess the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must be able to deal with multiple personalities in a high stress environment.
  • Must work well in a team environment and individually.
  • Ability to take direction and receive feedback.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
  • Possess the ability to work with others and independently to solve problems and create solutions.
  • The individual must be able to transport up to 35 pounds on occasion and up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the cleaning and organization of all restaurant dishes, glassware, flatware, and basic cooking equipment.
  • Return all clean wares to their appropriate locations.
  • Maintain a functional and clean work area.
  • Remove trash and recycling to appropriate receptacles.
  • Understand safe operating levels for all cleaning chemicals used and possess the knowledge to test levels as needed.
  • Understand basic scullery equipment and operations.
  • Work in accordance with MBH as well as current health code standards.
  • Assist in kitchen breakdown and setup, when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
