About The Position

Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community and a Healthcare Facility. We have a great opportunity for a Full Time Dishwasher to join our team on our healthcare campus. Tuesdays through Saturdays 11:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. HOURLY RATE-$15.25 PER HOUR BENEFITS INCLUDE HEALTH, DENTAL, VISION AVAILABLE FIRST OF THE MONTH AFTER HIRE PAID TIME OFF (PTO) HOLIDAY PAY 401K WITH GENEROUS EMPLOYER MATCH PAID SHORT TERM DISABILITY/LIFE INSURANCE

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • EXPERIENCE: Preferred.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting 75 TO 100 pounds by self with frequent Lifting and/or carrying of objects. Exerting considerable force frequently and/or intermediate force constantly to move objects and residents. Reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and visual near acuity.
  • TRAVEL: May travel within campus.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS: Considerable exposure to disagreeable conditions, including odors, infection, and illness.
  • PRINCIPAL CONTACTS: Works with elderly residents, families, and other health care members.
  • GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable to execute all terms and conditions set forth in the EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK, including, but not limited to: Works in a safety conscious manner, which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to others in the workplace. Responsibilities

  • Washes pots, dishes and silverware according to dishwashing, pot washing procedure.
  • Puts clean pots/dishes and silverware away.
  • Cleaning of equipment and kitchen floor/refrigerators as assigned.
  • Assists with cleaning of common dining areas, common kitchen/service areas, including stocking/restocking, trash removal.
  • Washes kitchen laundry.
  • Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work areas.
  • Takes trash out to dumpster.
  • Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
  • Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste.
  • Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride.
  • May be called upon to serve in the Dining Room, assisting with orders, assisting on cooking line, Assists with prep cooking.
  • Attend all meetings and staff training as required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to facility safety program at all times.
  • Follow standard food safety monitoring procedures throughout the shift.
  • Understand and carry out all oral and written directions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Campus Dining Director, Cook Shift Supervisor, Administrator/Designee
