Department: CC018120 Food Court Job Description Summary: Position Responsibilities Adheres to all food safety guidelines when handling food. Ensures all food in refrigerators are labeled and covered. Ensures food preparation follows dietary restrictions (low sodium, low fat, diabetic, etc.) as set forth in the approve Diet Manual Participates in patient food operations; ensuring that services are performed following high standards of food safety and sanitation; serving food in a wholesome, palatable and attractive manner. Takes immediate actions to correct problems related to patient food operations or meal service delivery. Adheres to uniform policy for assigned areas. Cleans assigned areas, equipment and utensils at the end of each meal according to established procedures. Flexible with schedule to meet department demands. Demonstrates a clear understanding of safety in the work area by lifting correctly, wiping up spills, and using carts to transport items and other steps to avoid accidents. Follows appropriate procedures in the preparation, handling and service of food items. Performs other duties as assigned.
