About The Position

Parla is a restaurant by the team behind The Smith, specializing in New York-style pizza and Italian-inspired cocktails. The menu features both square and round pizzas, pastas, veggies, and shareable plates crafted by Executive Chef Brian Ellis. The bar offers espresso, wine, and cocktails with a curated selection of amari and vermouth. Parla aims to foster great conversation alongside the enjoyment of pizza, serving guests from morning espresso to evening slices. The Dishwasher position is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace within this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the dishwashing area as a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace at all times
• Sort, rinse, and load dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment into the dishwasher
• Ensure all items are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored
• Wash pots, pans, and other items by hand as needed
• Monitor and change dishwater and cleaning solutions to maintain sanitation standards
• Sort and stack clean dishes and return them to appropriate storage areas
• Remove trash and recycling regularly, keeping waste areas clean and organized
• Clean and maintain sinks, floors, and surrounding areas, ensuring a safe (dry) work environment
• Support the kitchen team with cleanliness and organization throughout service and closing
