We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to help maintain a clean and efficient kitchen. The Dishwasher is essential to the success of our team by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use throughout service. Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced, and at times high-pressure environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans according to health code standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, including dish machines, sinks, floors, and storage areas.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and report any malfunctions to a supervisor.
  • Keep trash and recycling areas clean; remove garbage and break down boxes as needed.
  • Assist with kitchen cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces) per daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure proper chemical handling and sanitation practices in compliance with Illinois Public Health guidelines.
  • Restock clean plates, utensils, and kitchen tools to the appropriate stations.
  • Support prep cooks and line cooks with basic tasks when required (e.g., peeling vegetables, transporting items).
  • Follow all restaurant safety protocols, including proper lifting, personal protective equipment (PPE), and food safety procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
