About The Position

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher who takes pride in keeping our kitchen running smoothly. This role is essential to our success, supporting our culinary team by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Position Summary: Washes, stores, and stocks all plate ware, glassware, eating utensils, cups, bowls, pots, pans and other small wares and equipment for the restaurant. Correctly cleans and maintains the dishwashing machine. Keeps dish machine area clean and sanitary. Ensure the restaurant is ready to open before service.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with kitchen staff.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Completion of Food handler’s card required within 30 days of employment.
  • Restaurant experience preferred.
  • Prolonged periods walking or standing.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 60 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to work on days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
  • Must frequently immerse hands in water.
  • Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work on time and is on the dishwashing station as indicated on the schedule.
  • Washes all dish wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
  • Checks dish machine to be sure it is operating correctly, including water temperature and immediately reports any defects to a member of the management team.
  • Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
  • Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
  • Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
  • Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
  • May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
  • Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
