Dishwashers are key to a smooth restaurant service. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils and other kitchen equipment.

Requirements

Must be able to carry 50lbs frequently
Must be able to climb stairs
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work on weekends and some holidays
Ability to maintain composure during stressful, high volume times.
Ability to work in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Sort and rinse dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send though dish machine.
Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
Change dish water in dish machine as necessary
Wash pots, pans and trays by hand
Remove trash and recyclables to dumpster
Set up or break down dishwashing area
Clean and roll/unroll mats
Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
Sweep/mop floors
Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
Conduct general restaurant cleaning as directed
Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
Notify a manager any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
Other duties as directed.
