About The Position
Dishwasher The Dishwasher will maintain dishes, pots, pans, and utensils in a clean and ready for use state. This role is responsible for cleanliness of dish washing and dietary areas and provides tray service. The incumbent holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Dish Maintenance Duties: ● Scrape, rack, and place soiled dishes in dish machine ● Sort, stack and store clean dishes ● Fill, clean, and empty dish machine ● Know and maintain dish machine temperature controls for wash and rinse cycles ● Operate dish machine Support Duties: ● Assist in meal preparation ● Handle cleaning supplies ● Maintain cleanliness of dish machine room and dietary area ● Collaborate with staff and Director of Culinary Services ● All other duties as requested TALENT: Executing Takes responsibility and ownership Ability to prioritize and multi-task priorities Relationship Building Demonstrates honesty, friendliness and enthusiasm Has empathy, a caring attitude and sincere interest in others Works well with people including staff, residents, families Ability to foster teamwork Enjoys working with older people Influencing Communicates clearly and effectively SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Operate dish machine, handle cleaning supplies and equipment; knowledgeable of sanitary requirements, rules and regulations EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: High School Diploma or GED (preferred) Experience: On the job training provided PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ● Frequent walking per shift ● Frequent standing per shift while cleaning ● Lifting 1- 20# frequently, 21-35# occasionally, 36 - 70# rarely ● Bending and reaching, squatting and kneeling, crawling and climbing ● Extreme hot and cold temperature changes ● Use of large and small kitchen equipment WORK AREA AND ENVIRONMENT: Kitchen, freezers, refrigerators, loading dock, dining room We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
