About The Position

· Cleaning Dishes: Wash, stack, sort, and store dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware using both hand-washing and industrial dishwashing machines. · Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the kitchen and dishwashing area organized and free of clutter, ensuring that all surfaces are sanitized and clean. · Loading and Unloading: Load dirty dishes into the dishwasher and unload clean dishes, placing them in designated storage areas. · Assisting Kitchen Staff: Support other kitchen staff by removing soiled dishes from dining and cooking areas, restocking supplies, and helping with food preparation as needed. · Trash Management: Monitor and empty trash cans throughout the shift, ensuring a clean working environment. · Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that dishwashing machines are in working order and report any issues to management.

Requirements

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow sanitation and cleaning procedures meticulously.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 pounds).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is often preferred but not always required.
