This position performs dishwashing activities with primary responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, storerooms, and equipment; and transporting dishes, china, and equipment between storage and work areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cleans debris from dirty dishes, uses proper equipment including a dishwashing machine to wash, sanitize, and dry plates, glassware, flatware, dishes, pots, pans, etc. Uses cleaning chemicals as directed and follows company procedures as directed. Returns all clean kitchen utensils and equipment to proper storage location. Transports supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Performs all duties on position checklist. Segregates and removes trash and garbage, and places in designated containers. Takes out trash and recycling. Cleans and maintains interior and exterior trash area. Sweeps and mops floors. Complies with local, state, and national regulations pertaining to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards. Completes all other duties as assigned.
