About The Position

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a reliable, organized, and positive part-time dishwasher to join our hard-working team for a small New England private boarding and day school in Saxtons River. A dishwasher's job involves keeping the kitchen stocked with clean utensils, dishes, and cookware by scraping, washing (hand or machine), sanitizing, and storing items, while also maintaining a clean work area, taking out trash, and supporting kitchen staff. Requirements

Ability to keep all stock areas neat and clean.
Ability to understand and apply FIFO inventory procedures.
Prior commercial dishwashing experience preferred, however, we can teach any motivated individual.
Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
Ability to properly set up a buffet or serving station.
Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
Experience in customer service strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile!
Dispose of waste and maintain a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled utensils, dishes and pots.
Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy an exquisite dining experience.
Set up and break down the dish machine and sanitize equipment in the kitchen.
