About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Food Service Steward/Dishwasher to support kitchen and dining operations for a confidential client. The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness, adhere to health and safety standards, and provide general assistance in food service areas. Essential Duties: Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, students, and coworkers Wash and sterilize food trays, dishes, utensils, and service equipment Clean, sanitize, and break down workstations and service areas Set up prep tables, service counters, steam tables, and hot wells Follow food safety procedures for storing and labeling food items Organize and clean kitchen, stockroom, dining area, and restrooms Receive, inspect, and store food and supply deliveries Take out trash and perform sweeping and mopping duties Clean and sanitize guest dining furniture and restrooms Service guest drink stations as needed Adhere to all hygiene and safety regulations and procedures Participate in annual events as requested, including Discovery Day Support other food service-related tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
  • Minimum of 6 months of food service experience preferred
  • Food Handler’s Permit required within 6 months of hire
  • Basic computer and timekeeping system skills
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn health and food safety regulations
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must reach overhead and bend/stoop to lift heavy items
  • Use of hands in hot water and cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to varying temperatures (hot kitchens, cold coolers)
  • Requires normal vision, hearing, and speech capabilities
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
