About The Position

The Omega Kitchen is a large full-scale food production facility. It produces up to 2500 mostly plant-based meals per day as well as a breads and desserts for both the Dining Hall and Café. All dishwashers are directly accountable to the Dishwasher Utility Supervisor and Dining Hall Management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain & clear dishes from dish return window during meals.
  • Maintain & clear dish wash counter area during the shift.
  • Rinse and rack items to be sent through machine.
  • Operate dish machine as directed by Supervisor.
  • Replenish soap and rinse as directed by Supervisor.
  • Return cleaned items to correct storage spaces.
  • Organize storage spaces as needed.
  • Alert Supervisor to any issues preventing them from completing job assignments.
  • Wash, rinse & sanitize large kitchen items in pot wash area as directed by Supervisor.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of dish area & pot wash.
  • Check in with Dining Hall & Kitchen management before closing down the dishwasher area.
  • Turn off, drain, disassemble & clean dish machine as directed by Supervisor.
  • Clear, wash & sanitize dishwasher counter area.
  • Remove mats, sweep & mop dishwash area.
  • Provide support to other kitchen stations as needed (including Dining hall and Kitchen Prep).
  • Requires working around knives and hot steam; carrying hot pans
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
