About The Position

Responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks. Maintains the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards. Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on Experience Shift Details: PRN (no guaranteed hours). Will be scheduled to cover various days throughout the week. Weekends will be required as needed by the department. Shift times will be from 3:30pm - 9:30pm on the days scheduled to work. Will need to be available to work 2-3 shifts per week Department: Intermountain Medical Center Culinary Services Additional Details: This role involves dishwashing duties. Requires working around water and standard dishwashing chemicals. Candidate must demonstrate strong collaboration abilities, working effectively with diverse teams to achieve department objectives.

Requirements

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho)
  • Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions
  • Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and sanitizes dishes
  • Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors.
  • Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures.
  • Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
  • Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
  • Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures.
