Responsibilities

• Receives merchandise from all vendors, checks for expiration dates, dented cans, or damaged products.
• Checks order for accuracy and store as needed in dry, refrigerator or freezer, as necessary.
• Rotate merchandise according to the FIFO rule.
• Dishwashers work to take on some janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks, such as tables, washing pot and pans and appliances, emptying trash receptacles, scrubbing floors, restocking items, and performing other tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for students.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen clean after production has ended.
• Communicates with Kitchen Supervisor about how to improve meal service.
• Cleans food preparation areas as determined by company policies and Health Department Regulations.
• Clean and sanitize working area before start work and after finishing work.
• Be flexible with the schedule for any unforeseen emergencies/circumstances.
