About The Position

This position is for a Dishwasher responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks within the Culinary Department. The role involves maintaining the department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition, adhering to hospital, Health Department, and Joint Commission standards. It is a Full Time position, requiring 36 hours per week, with a primary work schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and occasional morning or mid-morning shifts of 8 hours. The hourly pay rate is based on experience, ranging from $17.00 to $21.75. The role is eligible for benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Education Assistance, and is located at Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital in St George, Utah.

Requirements

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work
  • Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions

Nice To Haves

  • One or more year of food service experience preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and sanitizes dishes
  • Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors.
  • Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures.
  • Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
  • Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
  • Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures.
