About The Position

The Dishwasher at Ramada Plaza Nags Head Oceanfront in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina is responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized in a timely and efficient manner. This is a part-time, hourly position within the hospitality/restaurant industry, reporting to the Kitchen Manager and working collaboratively with the culinary team. Compensation & Benefits: This position offers an hourly pay rate of $15 per hour, paid biweekly. The selected candidate will also have access to employee discounts on hotel accommodations and food and beverage purchases.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or as a dishwasher preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Must have a strong work ethic, be reliable, and able to work independently
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety regulations
• Load and unload dish washing machine while maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Assist with the receiving and stocking of inventory as needed
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of garbage and recycling
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down counters and surfaces, and emptying trash
• Assist with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping vegetables, as needed
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety, health, and sanitation regulations
• Communicate any equipment, supply, or maintenance needs to the Kitchen Manager
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment with the culinary team
