About The Position

Thousand Hills State Park features Forest Lake, a 573-acre reservoir created by the damming of Big Creek and serves as a fresh water supply to the population of Kirksville, Missouri. This site provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities such as swimming, fishing, boating and water skiing. Thousand Hills Hospitality will offer a retail gift shop, full-service restaurant, cabin style lodging as well as boat and slip rentals. We pride ourselves in providing top notch customer service and helping families make memories in the State Park for years to come! Summary : As a Dishwasher you will provide a clean and safe kitchen area, maintaining the dish-room and equipment clean and organized at all times.

Requirements

  • Ability to take direction and change tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with many personality types.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs., and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Majority of shift spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, near other people.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent as required by company policy
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: None required

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the company’s dishwashing procedures to ensure that all expectation regarding the cleaning, sanitizing and storing of dishware and utensils are met
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation, kitchen, and food storage areas at all times
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments
  • Organize items as they are cleaned, restock areas where items are stored
  • Follow all procedures outlined for health and safety in accordance with company policies and follow proper use and storage of chemicals used to clean kitchen items.
  • Work as a busser, assuming all duties of that position, when not otherwise scheduled in the kitchen
  • Be alert to kitchen equipment to ensure utilization, proper care, and maintenance is adhered to.
  • Report repairs needed promptly
  • Follow all health, safety standards, security guidelines, policies, and initiatives
  • All other duties as may be assigned
