About The Position

Glen Park Senior Living is looking for friendly and attentive Dishwasher to provide excellent dining service to our residents, helping create a warm and welcoming environment where they feel cared for and respected.

The Dishwasher/Dining Services is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas, while also assisting with meal service to residents. This role supports the dining services team in providing a safe, clean, and pleasant dining experience for residents in accordance with facility standards and health regulations.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of ago
• Six months of related experience.
• Able to pass a physical exam and a criminal record review.
• Current training in Basic First Aid and CPR
• Current Food Handlers Card
• Prolonged periods of walking or standing.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 60 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
• Must frequently immerse hands in water.
• Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
• Have the personal characteristics, physical energy, and competence to work effectively with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, equipment, and storage areas.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables according to facility procedures.
• Assist with stocking supplies and putting away deliveries.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (local, state, and federal regulations).
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas before and after meals.
• Serve meals and beverages to residents in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Follow proper portion control and dietary guidelines as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and communicate needs to kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.
• Support special events and community dining functions as needed.
