About The Position

PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS: All employees shall strive to provide exceptional hospitality to both internal and external guests at all times. This associate will be responsible for exemplifying the Maverick Hotel and Restaurants Culture as well as providing promotional expertise for the location as both a destination and a harmonious work environment. SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the kitchen and dishwashing area(s) is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

Requirements

Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit

Prior experience as Dishwasher preferred

Responsibilities

Ensures all glassware, flatware and plateware are sanitized and available as needed
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
Sort and stack clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.
Change dishwater in dish machine.
Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
Set up or breakdown dishwashing area
Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
Sweep/mop floors
Assemble/disassemble dish machine
Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and safe
Never touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first
Works diligently to avoid breakage and loss
Ensures that all dishes and utensils are properly stocked and stored
Interacts with all fellow associates and Maverick MODs in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessary
Attends assigned department meetings and appropriate location specific meetings
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Maverick Hotel and Restaurant dress code standards.
