Requirements

Restaurant, retail or guest service experience preferred.
Able to work under stress.
Able to work accurately and rapidly.
Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
Ability to work with different pieces of kitchen equipment.
Must be well groomed and follow company uniform standards.
Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
Must have reliable transportation and phone.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear; occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Responsibilities

Lifts racks of glassware, cutlery, fry baskets, pots and pans from a holding area to the dish machine or three-compartment sink.
Scraps dishes into the disposal area and cycles the dirty dishes through the dish machine.
Places clean glassware from the dish machine onto dollies as well as stocking clean dishware on the cooks’ line.
Hangs clean cooking utensils, pot, pans and baskets on appropriate hooks throughout the kitchen.
Fills and changes chemicals and soap used in the dish machine at a minimum of every 2 hours.
Sorts flatware into bins for proper cleaning and sanitizing.
Empties trash into the dumpster.
Assists management team in controlling food cost.
Observes the basic rules of kitchen safety, sanitation and back door safety.
Utilizes various cleaning chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Completes all daily, opening and closing side work. Gets checked out by management before the end of the shift.
Provides friendly and competent customer service.
Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
Assists with other duties, as assigned.
