About The Position

The Dishwasher plays a critical role in supporting kitchen and service operations by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored in a timely manner. This position maintains the cleanliness and functionality of the dish area, assists with trash removal and stocking of clean wares, and supports overall kitchen sanitation. The Dishwasher works collaboratively with the team, communicates effectively with leadership, and consistently follows all cleanliness, health, safety, and regulatory standards to help ensure smooth service and a safe, efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Exceptional organizational and operational skills, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and professionalism in dealing with staff and management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed
  • Continuous use of hands and arms
  • Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting

Responsibilities

  • Operate the dish machine efficiently, including scraping, pre-rinsing, loading, running, and unloading
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the dish machine; promptly report any operational or mechanical issues to leadership
  • Hand-wash pots, pans, and items not suitable for machine washing
  • Wash, air dry, and properly store all tableware, glassware, and kitchen equipment
  • Stock and maintain adequate levels of clean tableware and kitchenware throughout the restaurant
  • Remove bag, and transport trash to designated dumpsters according to service schedules
  • Handle all items carefully to prevent breakage, loss, or damage
  • Monitor and maintain sufficient levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation and production areas as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers
  • Communicate ordering needs to minimize running out of items
  • Communicate scheduling conflicts, vacations, and shift changes to managers according to policies and procedures
  • Communicate professionally with all other staff, guests, and managers
  • Work together with other staff in a “One Team, One Dream” mentality
  • Ensure all work surfaces are kept in neat and tidy condition throughout service
  • Comply with all NC Department of Food and Safety regulations, including dish machine temperature and availability of sanitizing strips
  • Comply with all NC ABC regulations
  • Maintains strong personal image and uniform standards
