About The Position

We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our senior care & living team in Minneapolis, MN at Jones Harrison! This position participates in providing a total quality dining service program for senior residents. This includes detailed cleaning of dishware, flatware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, equipment, and facilities to meet sanitation standards. Position may also perform a variety of food preparation duties such as preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat, and brewing coffee or tea. This nutrition services schedule includes; 28 hours every two weeks Evening shift. 3:30-7:00 pm Includes every other weekend Saturday/Sunday and holiday schedule Partially Benefit Eligible (paid time off, matching retirement); https://www.ebenezercares.org/employee-benefits Celebrating 135 years of service, Jones-Harrison Senior Living is conveniently located close to the metro bus stops off Cedar Lake Ave./Drew Ave. S. and Cedar Lake Ave./France Ave. S. in Minneapolis. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year One to Three Years
  • Experience in professional food service
  • Food Sanitation Safety Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course. Accept Food Sanitation Safety Course from the following companies: Serv Safe Always Food Safe TAP Series, LLC Advanced Health Institute

Responsibilities

  • Washes and ensures dishes, pots and pans, and utensils are at the highest standards of cleanliness
  • May assist with special events as needed
  • Ensures the proper use of equipment and supplies and upholds cleaning and safety standards
  • Performs cleaning, mopping, sweeping, garbage removal, and dusting kitchen and dining room
  • Reports to the Cook or Culinary Director any equipment and supplies that are needed
