Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to communicate effectively to fulfill position responsibilities.
• Able to read schedules, menus, and position related instructions.
• Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, and communicate effectively with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Organize washes and inspect all dishware and glassware.
• Store clean utensils, dishes, and glassware in proper places.
• Keep dish washing machine and dish room in clean operating condition.
• Promptly report any malfunctions or breakdowns of equipment to Food Service Manager.
• Sweep and mop kitchen area and waitstaff station and clean filter over stove area.
• Deliver ice to dining room.
• Assist waitstaff with serving and bringing in dishes to kitchen, when necessary.
• Deliver meals to residents in their apartments, when necessary.
• Perform assigned cleaning assignments according to established policies and utilize the proper cleaning chemicals.
• Keep work areas clean and uncluttered.
• Ensure that dishes are readily available for the next meal.
• Store dishes in the proper location in a way to prevent contamination.
