Together We CAN! This position must be able to work weekends The Dishwasher/Utility position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe area, while operating the dishwasher. Glenaire, is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with a mission "to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of those we serve." Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- High school diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to work weekends and holidays.
- Show evidence of negative TB skin test or the equivalent.
- Able to work shifts other than the one specified at the time of employment.
- Knowledge of all kitchen equipment.
- Able to follow written and oral instructions.
Responsibilities
- Keep entire dish area clean.
- Store dishes and flatware properly.
- Remove refuse cans.
- Clean dish machine.
- Clean china storage equipment.
- Sweep entire kitchen and dining area.
- Mop entire kitchen and dining area.
- Clean walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
- Wash, rinse and store pots, pans and serving utensils.
- Dispose of unwanted, unusable portions of food items properly.
- Clean and properly sterilize refuse cans.
- Assist in storing and stocking shelves in dry storage, freezers and walk-in coolers.
- Store serving trays in serving line as needed
- Place necessary china and glassware in appropriate areas
